A new foreign market
Europe → North America or the other way round. One concrete market at a time, not a whole continent at once: the message, the channels and the budget focused where traffic actually converts.
Fractional / interim commercial director for D2C brands
I structure whatever is actually driving your growth – a new sales channel, a new foreign market or a pricing overhaul – so that it turns into real margin, company value and capital efficiency.
In many companies the problem isn't a lack of sales. It's the lack of structure that lets scale become leverage – especially when a D2C brand opens a second channel: B2B and wholesale, or a new market abroad.

Retail and distribution partners without cannibalising your own store. I design the function – strategy, process, margin model, targets – and place a capable Head of B2B Sales in it.
03
Revenue grows, margin doesn't. A price architecture across channels and markets that protects margin as you scale.
Also: moving customer service to an outsourced model that scales with sales, and an ongoing fractional commercial director role for companies whose revenue grows faster than their margin.
Track record
As head of commerce at a European consumer electronics brand (marketing, B2B sales, customer service), I built and led a team. The results – and the levers behind them:
3×
Budget moved from people who found the product “too expensive” to buyers who value what it does – mostly in the US. Trust built by experts, media and creators instead of educating the market. And the biggest product launch in the company’s history.
over 5×
Spend that didn’t sell cut from the first month. Ads aimed at people already warmed up by PR and creators – return on ad spend grew several-fold. Every campaign run as an experiment, with a hypothesis and a measurement.
2×
A sharper message and budget shifted to the highest-converting markets – the US (now its largest market), the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.
over 3×
From test orders to partners in 12+ countries – x-kom in Poland to Best Buy Canada. Market scouting, distributors instead of foreign offices, the right channel lead and pricing that protects partner margin.
over 10×
A Kickstarter-launched E Ink phone taken into retail in over a dozen countries – while D2C grew even faster. Both channels built in parallel, with price discipline so wholesale never undercuts the online store.
2×
Customer service moved to an outsourced team that scales with demand. Procedures, quality measurement and changes run in the system with AI, not in meetings – and handed over to an in-house specialist.
+20% / −10%
A discount only pays when the right people arrive first. With strong PR and creator buzz, the promotion earned about 20% more than months without one; with weak buzz, about 10% less. Demand first – then a promotion that closes it.
Engagement
I work directly with the CEO and leadership team, drawing on years as a sales leader reporting to the CEO.
Typically one to two days a week, or a defined interim mandate of a few months – with time reserved for your company.
I don't stop at a recommendation. I build the system, make sure the right roles are filled with capable leaders, then hand it over.
Next step
We'll look at where your business stands, where the biggest profit levers are, and which one is worth pulling first. No pitch, no obligation – you'll leave with at least one concrete next step.
